Aktivsystemadapter dienen der Aufrechterhaltung von werksseitig verbauten Soundsystemen. Dies ermöglicht den Anschluss von handelsüblichen Nachrüstradios an das fahrzeugeigene Aktivsystem.

Je nach Fahrzeug und verbautem OEM Aktivsystem können verschiedene Funktionen wie zum Beispiel Fader oder Klang- und Subwoofereinstellungen wegfallen.

In Einzelfällen kann in Abhängigkeit des Systems und des Nachrüstradios ein erhötes Rauschen oder ein Ein- oder Ausschaltgeräusch auftreten.
