Dies ermöglicht den Anschluss von Nachrüstradios an ein fahrzeugeigenes Aktivsystem unter Beibehaltung des OEM Verstärkers und der angeschlossenen Lautsprecher durch Adaption, Anpassung oder Wandlung der Ausgangssignale der Signalquelle an den Signaleingang des OEM Verstärkers.
Je nach Fahrzeug und verbautem OEM Aktivsystem können verschiedene Funktionen wie zum Beispiel Fader oder Klang- und Subwoofereinstellungen wegfallen.
In Einzelfällen kann in Abhängigkeit des OEM Systems und des Nachrüstradios ein erhötes Rauschen oder ein Ein- oder Ausschaltgeräusch auftreten.
